A passion for world travel eventually led me to a love of photography. Over the last 35 years, my journeys have taken me to 40 countries.
Photographs communicate more than words. They can capture a spirit, tell a person's story, show the splendor of ancient mountains or the beauty of a simple flower. I especially enjoy documenting life in authentic surroundings where cultural celebrations, peoples' faces or wildife in its natural habitat touch and move me.

A Common Thread
Influenced by my Sicilian grandmother, I became a seamstress at an early age. During my travels, I started collecting fabrics - Japanese Kimono, West African and Guatemalan weavings, French Silk, Italian cotton, India sari borders, Chinese embroidery, Indonesian batiks, and more. Recently, I started making eyeglass carriers and a few jewelry bags, with my grandmother's buttons and lace, on her sewing machine. Take a look at the World Fabrics page.
